Adding and Removing Mobile Phone Numbers From Your LinkedIn Account That Has No Associated Email

If you're a member who only has a phone number associated with your account (and no email address), and you now have a new phone number, you can add your new number to your account. You should also remove the old number from your account.

To add a new number on your Android device:

1. Click the Me icon in the top right of your homepage.

2. Select
Settings & Privacy from the dropdown.

3. Under the
Login and security section of the Account tab, click Change next to phone numbers.

4. Click
Add phone number and select the appropriate country from the dropdown menu.

5. Enter your phone number in the
New phone number field.

6. Click
Send code. This will send a verification code to your mobile device via SMS (text message) to confirm that you own this number.

7. On the next screen that appears, enter the verification code you received on your mobile device and click
Confirm. You can also click Resend code if you haven't received it, or click Call me with the code to have the code read out to you via a phone call.

8. Your mobile phone number must be verified before it can be used to reset your account password.

9. Once you have confirmed your new number, click
Make primary.

10. Next to your old number, click
Remove.

To add a new number on your iOS device:
